Jamie Drouin

Jamie Drouin is "ultimately interested in showing what can be freshly seen/heard/experienced of the phenomenal world simply by concentrated viewing and listening." - Event horizon catalog, Open space gallery.

The work of multimedia and sound artist Jamie Drouin (Canadian, b. 1970) explores the subtleties of sensory experience through intricately detailed patterns and textures which, while retaining references to corporeal sources, seek to expand and transform audience perceptions of familiar habitat.

Drouin's audio work freely moves between enigmatic soundscapes and dark minimal techno compositions (under the alias vrsn) that continually challenge our aural senses with fresh experiences.

Exhibited and performed worldwide, including solo exhibitions in Japan, Germany and Canada. Featured at international music festivals such as Mutek (Montreal), and Decibel (Seattle).

CD releases on Infrequency (CA) and Dragons Eye Recordings (US).
